Imagine a world of possibilities



Science 4 Kern is Kern County's first and only science education lending library program geared toward Kern County students. Engaging science kits consisting of equipment, lab materials, curriculum, consumables, and educational support are available on loan at NO COST to Kern County schools. All materials are delivered and retrieved to and from the school site, making the program completely turn-key for schools.

Jamie Viveros, STEAM Coordinator, has 24 years of educational experience, with 5 years of Science Specialist experience. Jamie is passionate about students learning science with hands-on experience. Hands on benefits student learning by giving them a chance to make discoveries on their own and foster connections to real world situations. I encourage teachers to register for Science 4 Kern Kits. The kits come with 5E NGSS Lesson plans with Science and Engineering Practices, Crosscutting Concepts, Environmental Literacy and local phenomenon.
